The Huc Bridge is located across Hoan Kiem Lake in the center of the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi. The Huc is a red wooden arch bridge with the poetic name ‘the place where the light of the morning sun rests’. The bridge is also called the sun shine bridge. This bridge connects the shore with the Den Ngoc Son island in the Hoan Kiemmeer.
When you cross the bridge, you arrive in the Ngoc Son-temple. This temple is hidden amongst centuries-old trees. Next to the bridge is a nine meter high pillar. This is the writing brush / ink brush tower. Here you will find three giant Chinese characters depicting a pen to write on clear sky. This means happiness and prosperity, and on the tower itself is the inscription Ta Thanh Thie, the sign on the bright blue sky.
In the evening, The Huc Bridge is beautifully lit and many couples go here to take pictures with this bridge in the background.
