Enjoy a full day of trekking to Ta Phin Village from Sapa. Walk through the rice fields and see the breathtaking landscape of mountains with local villages dotted around the valley.
Start the day with a 3km trek through the beautiful area around Sapa to the village of Suoi Ho, home to Hmong minority. From here you have views over endless rice terrace fields and the change to see some of the animals used by the locals for working on the land, including the water buffalo.
Continuing your trekking to Matra village. On the way you will see the impressive ruins of a church dating back from the French occupation in the early 1900s. Take a minute to explore this sight and to make some photos.
Next your trekking goes to the village of Ta Phin. Here you will meet both the and Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities. The Red Dao are known for their knowledge in herbal medicine and the usage of plants from the land to treat illnesses. Your guide can introduce you to some of the Red Dao women who can show and tell you more about their many remedies. Optional is to take a Red Dao herbal medicine bath.
A vehicle will bring you back from Ta Phin back to Sapa.
