From the palace, a path leads to Ho Chi Minh’s Stilt House: a simple wooden pole house, built in 1958. “Uncle Ho” lived here during the war.

This small wooden stilt house where he lived exists of 2 floors, very humble and simple, with just a couple of rooms where Ho Chi Minh rested and studied. On the ground floor room he consulted with his military commanders and other leaders. His sleeping and study room are on the top floor. The house is located next to a fish pond, where he loved to fish and is surrounded by fruit trees. Near the stilt house is a stone building, where Ho lived and worked from 1954 to 1958.
